Valle Drive In

We went early September, the place wasn't overly crowded. The concession stand had good movie type food, we brought in our own but did grab some popcorn. The screen was huge and had a good picture! Perfect place for kids. We listened through our radio but they had speakers as well. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and comfy clothes. The double feature makes for a long night! There is plenty of room to leave if you don't want to stay all night. Definitely going back!

I have lived within 1 hour of here for the last 10 years and for some reason this was the first time visiting. Me and my family has a wonderful experience. It is very affordable, the staff was always nice and friendly even to someone who likes to chit chat too much 😁. It was a nice surprise that they have radios to loan out to customers at no extra charge so we have multiple ways of enjoying the shows. The one downside is when I heard the girls talking about how the popcorn 🍿 can at times be multiple days old if they end up making too much for one night. They said they maybe throw away all the popcorn only once per week so it means not all the popcorn is fresh. I never ordered any even before I knew that, but still. Everything else was great!! Highly recommend this for families or date night (just be prepared not to leave until 0230 am if staying for both movies)!!

Well, it would be nice if they would play an adult movie (double feature). Everything shown is always for kids. Adults need something to do too. Nights are for grown-ups. They close all pool halls or anything similar. For MONTHS we have tried to come senjoy a movie but there has been , on Sept 2 two movies for adults. Very irritating. Can we get something played that doesn't have a mermaid, barbie, or super hero in it?

Always an enjoyable experience. It's nice to switch things up and watch movies on the Big Screen. There usually is a Huge crowd as its a neat outing with friends or family. There's a large selection of food available from Nachos to hot dogs or Pizza not to mention the Popcorn,Soda,candy and ice-cream. There are also bathrooms . Admittance is reasonably priced

This is one of the last great American drive-ins around and the closest one to DSM, just wished it was a little closer. We love this place and try to get out here at least a few times a year. It really just depends on what they are playing, we usually come out when they are playing 2 family friendly movies. We prefer coming out either early or late in the season, even if it a little chillier, because the movie starts earlier and we still have a 45 minute drive home. But coming out in the middle of summer on a great night is still pretty awesome. This place brings back so much nostalgia from my childhood. They have the field out front where kids play before the movie, concession stand, and the window speakers. Although, a lot of the speakers do not work, we usually bring a little transistor radio. Great place to catch NOT one But two movies... Definitely worth the drive and always a amazing time !! Truly a great family oriented atmosphere. And a great American Pastime preserved right in the middle of Newton Iowa❤❤ Friendly staff I've been several times I make the 40-minute drive for my movie and I've never had a bad experience even if the movie wasn't the best my experience has always been nothing shy of amazing!!

Tickets were a great price, and the concession food was really good. Unfortunately, once you're in the gate, parking is a free-for-all. This makes it very difficult to view the movie if you're in any kind of car besides a large pickup truck. Really disappointed that we tried arriving early only for pickups to use up the front three rows entirely even when arriving early...
